These terms govern your use of Strata in English, on the website and in the iOS app. Using Strata means you accept them. You must be at least 16 to use Strata. If you buy from Türkiye through the web, the Turkish distance sales contract at Distance Sales Agreement governs that purchase instead.
01Who we are
Strata is operated by Lümen Eğitim Danışmanlık Yazılım Teknoloji Limited Şirketi, trading as Stratify, registered at Fenerbahçe Mah. İğrip Sk. No: 13/1 Kadıköy / İstanbul 34726, Türkiye. Trade registry number 1049457; MERSIS 0609138117700001; tax office Göztepe Vergi Dairesi, tax number 6091381177. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that company.
02The service
Strata is a professional learning service: outcome-led routes made of programmes, lessons, applied exercises and business cases, together with Elenq, an AI thinking partner, and verifiable certificates. Strata is offered in three tiers. Free opens the first module of every programme; Plus opens the full catalogue, the case studies, Elenq and certificates; Pro adds the Practice area, the Elenq Pro modes and, as they open, live sessions and CV work. What each tier includes at any time is described on the pricing page, and features marked "coming soon" are not yet part of what you buy.
03Your account
You need an account to use Strata. You can create one with an email address and password, or sign in with Apple or Google. Keep your credentials to yourself; an account is for one person and may not be shared. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access to it. You are responsible for what happens under your account until you do. We may refuse or close an account created with false details.
04Subscriptions and auto-renewal
In English, Plus and Pro are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple in-app purchase, monthly or annually. Apple is the merchant of record: it takes the payment, applies the price and tax for your App Store storefront, and issues the receipt. The App Store shows you the price, the period and the renewal terms before you confirm.
- Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Apple charges the renewal to your Apple account within 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price shown in the App Store at that time.
- If an introductory offer or trial is shown, whether you are eligible for it is decided by Apple on the confirmation screen.
- Your Strata entitlement follows what Apple reports to us. If Apple reports that a subscription has lapsed, your access ends with it.
- If we change the price of a subscription, Apple asks for your agreement before the change applies to you, and the subscription does not renew at the new price until you agree.
- Upgrading from Plus to Pro takes effect as the App Store describes at the time of the upgrade; any credit for the unused part of the period is Apple's to apply.
A Plus or Pro entitlement bought in the app is recognised on the web as well, under the same account.
05Cancelling, withdrawal and refunds
You cancel from your Apple account, in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions, not from Strata. We cannot cancel an Apple subscription on your behalf. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
Because Apple is the seller, any statutory right of withdrawal you have for the purchase is exercised with Apple, on the terms and within the period the App Store gives you for your country. Refunds for in-app purchases are likewise handled by Apple under the App Store terms, and are Apple's decision rather than ours. We will help you with the facts of your account if that supports a request you make to Apple.
06What you may do with the content
While your account is active, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the content your tier includes, for your own professional development. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, publish, lend or use the content to build a competing service, and you may not use automated means to extract it in bulk. Notes and reflections you write remain yours; you give us a licence to store and process them to provide the service. All other intellectual property in Strata remains ours or our licensors'.
07Acceptable use
Do not use Strata to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's rights;
- attack, probe or disrupt the service or the infrastructure behind it;
- circumvent access controls, entitlement checks or usage limits;
- submit content that is unlawful, or that you have no right to share;
- harvest content or personal data, or impersonate another person.
08Elenq and the AI features
Elenq, CV analysis and case generation use AI models, including models run by a third-party provider. Their output is generated, and it can be wrong. Treat it as material for your own thinking, not as professional advice. It is not legal, financial, medical or employment advice, and it does not create any professional relationship between us.
Decisions you take remain yours. Usage limits apply per tier and per day so the feature stays available to everyone. CV analysis and coaching memory are opt-in; where you have consented to them, the Privacy Policy describes what is kept and for how long.
09Certificates
Completing a route earns a certificate issued by Stratify, carrying a verification code that anyone can check. A certificate records that you completed a Strata route. It is not an academic qualification, it is not accredited by any authority, and it confers no professional title or licence. We may revoke a certificate obtained by circumventing the learning flow.
10Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep Strata available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, provider incidents and events outside our control can interrupt it. We develop the product continuously: content is added, revised and sometimes retired. Where a change materially reduces what your active subscription gives you, we tell you in the app before it takes effect, and you can cancel with Apple if you do not want to continue.
11Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for gross negligence or wilful misconduct. Subject to that:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or business, or for decisions you take on the basis of the content or of AI output;
- we are not liable for failures of services we do not control, including the App Store, your device, or your network connection;
- our total liability to you for all claims arising in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid for Strata in the twelve months before the first of those claims arose, or, if you have paid nothing, to 100 euros.
Mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence are not affected by this section.
12Ending the agreement
You may stop using Strata and delete your account at any time from the Account screen. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel that with Apple as well, or it will keep renewing. We may suspend or end an account that materially breaches these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us. Sections 06, 11 and 14 survive the end of the agreement.
13Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service, the law or our business changes. The effective date at the top shows the current version. Where a change is material, we tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Strata after the effective date means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, stop using Strata and cancel your subscription with Apple.
14Governing law
These terms are governed by Turkish law, and the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory rules of your own country, and you may also bring proceedings there.
